The sonogram went really well. She gave us a lot of info that we didn't get with Madi's sonogram, it was really cool! He weighs 9 oz. and by the size of his head, femur bone, and stomach he is right on with the due date. He had fluid in the stomach and lungs which means he is swallowing and breathing correctly. Kidneys looked good, he had all 3 veins in the umbilical cord, heart was beating good and looked good. He is laying length wise in my belly and was pretty active during the sonogram. I am so glad we had this scheduled for today because I have been having some cramping the last four days and I haven't felt any movement yet, so I was getting a little nervous. But everything was perfect.
I didn't get much response but a small smile from Chris after the sonogram. I know he is excited but we really didn't care boy or girl. Just happy to know that everything is going well so far. Madi was going to go with us but she was little pill this morning and didn't want to leave the house or do anything I wanted her to do. Typical Madi these days, she is such a toddler right now. But she was pretty excited to see the pictures and kept pointing out the head to everyone. I told her tell my mom what we were having and she said "it's a girl!" But she got it right when she told dad and said she is having a little brother!
We also got a cd with our pictures on it which is so cool. Otherwise all they give you are x-ray pictures and their hard to look at. At 24-25 weeks we can go back and get a gender check sonogram done and get a more definite guess as to the sex, but she was pretty certain it's a boy.
Thanks for taking part in my poll!! Have a great rest of the week.
Love, Amy
